What I offer
Services
Choose a support package designed around your journey, or book individual services à la carte. All visits take place in your home — I bring everything we need.
For expectant families
The Heartroot Circle
A warm, relaxed group class held in your home — designed for the birthing parent, her partner, and family members or friends. We cover everything you need to know before baby arrives, so you feel prepared rather than overwhelmed.
- How milk production works — colostrum, supply, and the first 100 hours
- Golden hour, skin-to-skin, and the stages of a newborn self-latching
- Latch and positioning techniques (hands-on practice with dolls)
- Reading your baby's hunger cues and typical infant behavior
- Pumping, expression, and milk storage basics
- When to seek more support and how to recognize red flags
- Q&A tailored to your specific situation and concerns
I offer this as a private group class intentionally. The people around you after birth can make or break your feeding experience — and when they understand your goals and what you're going through, they become your greatest support rather than a source of pressure or doubt.
Why it matters to include your people
- When everyone understands why nursing matters, partners can offer the most meaningful support
- Support people learn how to bond deeply with baby in ways that don't involve feeding
- Realistic expectations of newborn behavior help the whole family navigate the early weeks with less anxiety and more confidence
- A nursing parent who feels supported is better equipped to advocate for their feeding relationship and seek help when needed
Dyad support
In-Home Postpartum Visit
One-on-one in-home support for the days, weeks, and months after baby arrives. Whether you're struggling with latch, worried about supply, or just need someone knowledgeable in your corner — I'm here.
- Latch assessment (educational observation, not clinical) and positioning support
- Feeding frequency and pattern guidance
- Engorgement, nipple sensitivity, and early discomfort troubleshooting
- Baby weight awareness and when to contact your pediatrician
- Pumping and expressing technique
- Referral to IBCLC or healthcare provider if clinical care is needed
- Follow-up support by phone/email after the visit
Pump support
Pump Fitting & Pumping Support
Flange sizing makes an enormous difference to pumping comfort and output. I provide sanitized flanges to trial and new flanges for purchase — so you don't have to figure it out alone.
- Trial different sizes and shapes of flanges to find your perfect fit
- Pumping technique education — single, double, and hands-on pumping
- Pumping schedule guidance for returning to work, and why you don't need a "stash"
- Milk storage guidelines and container options
- Support for exclusive pumping parents
- Learn more about why your breast pump might not be working for you →
For the birthing parent
Individual Consultation
A private, one-on-one session for the birthing parent — no group dynamic, just focused time together. This visit is tailored to wherever you are in your journey, before or after birth.
Prenatal planning
- Discuss your feeding goals and what to expect in the early days
- Learn prenatal colostrum expression and hand expression technique
- Initial pump flange measurements before baby arrives
- Prepare questions and a practical plan for your support team
Bereavement support
For parents who have experienced a loss. This is a gentle, private space — there is no right or wrong way to navigate this. We can explore pumping to donate your milk as a meaningful way to support other families, or work through the process of safely and comfortably suppressing milk production.
